JACKSONVILLE, FL — Valerie Gambino, who now lives in Jacksonville, organized the 9-11 Ride of Hope bike ride for the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks where her brother, Thomas Gambino Jr., was among the firefighters who died, per Jacksonville.com.

Gambino Jr. was the oldest of four siblings who grew up in Farmingdale, with Valerie coming second, per Jacksonville.com.
