Jocy's Pizzeria Of Farmingdale Closes: 'Thank You To All My Customers'

FARMINGDALE, NY — Jocy's Pizzeria of Farmingdale closed at the end of December.
Alex Mercado, owner of the pizzeria, celebrated one year at his 533 Fulton Street digs in June.
"I want to say thank you to all my customers," Mercado told Patch. "My wife and I are thankful for all the support and contributions they gave us. Thank you. We hope to see you again soon."

Mercado aimed to offer unconventional specialty slices, such as his "Trifecta" slice, which combined red sauce, vodka sauce and pesto; the meatball burrata, which saw scoops of burrata cheese on a Sicilian meatball pie; and "The Honey Pep Pizza," which consisted of pepperoni, Mike's hot honey drizzle & basil on a Sicilian crust. He also served classics, including Buffalo chicken, chicken bacon ranch, vodka, and more.
