LIRR Delays After Tractor-Trailer Strikes Bridge
A tractor-trailer tried to go under a bridge that was just a bit too short this morning, causing headaches on the rails.

WESTBURY, NY – Delays are being reported on the Long Island Rail Road's Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson branches after a tractor-trailer struck a bridge in Westbury Thursday morning.
The crash occurred at an LIRR overpass at Union and Post avenues just west of the Westbury station. There were no immediate reports of any injuries.

Westbound:
The 6:08AM train from Ronkonkoma due Penn at 7:27AM is operating 10 minutes late due to a truck striking a LIRR bridge near Westbury.

The 5:44AM train from Port Jefferson due Penn at 7:20AM is operating 10 minutes late after being delayed at Hicksville Station due to a truck striking a LIRR bridge near Westbury.
The 6:38AM train from Huntington due Atlantic Terminal at 7:36AM is operating 16 minutes late as a result of operating at a reduced speed due to a truck striking a LIRR bridge near Westbury.
The 5:59AM train from Port Jefferson due Long Island City at 7:51AM is 17 minutes late after operating at a reduced speed due to a truck striking a LIRR bridge near Westbury.
Eastbound:
The 6:07AM train from Penn due Farmingdale at 7:00AM is operating 14 minutes late due to a truck striking a LIRR bridge near Westbury.
The 6:57AM train from Farmingdale due Penn at 7:48AM is operating 12 minutes due trains operating at a reduced speed caused by a truck striking a LIRR bridge near Westbury.
