Look Up! Adventureland's Drone Show Returns Friday Night

FARMINGDALE, NY — The skies above Adventureland will come alive with colorful, dancing lights Friday night as the amusement park hosts its second drone show of the summer.

The display is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., with glow stick giveaways starting at 8 p.m. courtesy of Clear View Building Services and Adventureland's Helping Hands Foundation.

The show will be performed by Sky Elements, who will launch 100 drones about 400 feet up in the air, departing from Farmingdale State College for a 10-minute vibrant display.

"Lighting up the night sky right above the Ferris Wheel adds that special element of magic and wonder to our park, which is exactly what families want to feel during a beautiful summer night at Adventureland," Adventureland Manager Jeanine Gentile-Pacella said.

This week's show will be on Friday, July 17, with a rain date of Saturday, July 18. The first drone show was in June, and there will be one more on Friday, August 14.

"The first drone show a few weeks ago was a huge success and we can’t wait to see all new graphics and images light up the sky this Friday night," Gentile-Pacella said.
