Man Fatally Struck By Car In East Farmingdale: SCPD

The 42-year-old was crossing the street when he was struck Monday night.

EAST FARMINGDALE, NY - A West Babylon man was killed after he was struck by a car in East Farmingdale Monday night, according to Suffolk Police.

Fredy Leonel Maldonado, 42, was crossing Route 110 from east to west at the intersection of Conklin Avenue when he was struck by a southbound 2017 Dodge RAM 1500 at 10:45 p.m.

The driver of the Dodge, a 29-year-old North Massapequa man, called 911 and tried to render first aide to Maldonado.

Maldonado was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
