Man Had Gun In Farmingdale; 3 Arrested: Police
Police stopped three men in an illegally parked car who were "acting suspiciously," and one of them had a gun, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A gun and brass knuckles were found when officers searched three men in Farmingdale on Friday night, Nassau police said.
Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team officers saw an illegally parked 2021 Honda in the municipal parking behind the 300 block of Main Street around 11:45 p.m., police said. The officers who approached the car noticed three men inside it acting suspiciously, police said.
The trio was removed from the car, and officers noticed one of the men trying to hide an object in his waistband, police said. Officers frisked him for officer safety reasons and found a firearm, police said.

All three men were arrested without further incident, police said. Brass knuckles were also found in the Honda, police said.

Lakaien Mann, 20, of Patchogue, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Daniel Rooney, 19, of Islip, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Raamel Sapp, 18, of Dix Hills, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police did not supply a photo of Sapp.
The trio was set to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
