Man With Loaded Gun Arrested In Farmingdale: Police
The man was driving with dark tinted windows when officers stopped him, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A man was arrested Saturday in Farmingdale after Nassau police said he possessed a loaded gun.
Justin Velez, 30, of Brentwood, was driving a 2020 BMW southbound on Weiden Street with "excessively dark" tinted windows around 1:45 a.m., police said. Officers pulled Velez over and searched his BMW at the intersection of Weiden Avenue and Prospect Street, where police said they found a loaded black 9mm ghost gun.
Velez was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and multiple traffic violations.

His arraignment was scheduled for Saturday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
