Man Robs Suffolk Bank: Police

The robber indicated he had a gun and demanded cash from the teller, police say.

EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — An East Farmingdale bank was robbed on Monday, Suffolk police said.

A man entered TD Bank, at 90 Broadhollow Road, around 4:55 p.m., police said. The man indicated he had a gun and handed the teller a note demanding cash, police said. The teller gave the man cash from the drawer, police said. The robber ran off, police said.

Police described the robber as black, in his 40s, and heavyset. He was wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
