Man Robs East Farmingdale Store at Gunpoint

The robber tied up two workers and a customer Monday morning, police said.

Police are looking to identify an armed man who robbed an East Farmingdale store Monday morning.

According to authorities, the man entered Avenue, located at 240 Airport Plaza Boulevard, and demanded money while displaying a gun at 10:30 a.m.

The two employees inside the store handed over money to the robber, who also took a customer’s purse, police said.

The customer, who entered the store during the robbery, and the two employees were ordered to a back room and were tied up, police said.

The man fled the store and the victims were able to free themselves and call police. There were no injuries reported.

The robber was described as black, thin and 6 feet tall, police said.
