Man Threatens To Shoot Gas Station Clerk Over Cigars: Police
The man demanded a pack of cigars from another man working at a gas station, motioning towards his waistband, police said.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A man robbed a Farmingdale gas station of cigars Thursday night, Nassau police said.
Michael Ammino, 40, of Uniondale, went to the U.S. Gas at 545 Conklin St., approached the man working behind the counter and demanded a pack of cigars, police said. Ammino motioned towards his waistband and threatened to shoot the clerk if he didn't comply, police said. The clerk handed the cigars over, and Ammino ran northbound towards the Long Island Railroad Station with the cigars, police said.
Ammino was found by police a short time later and arrested without further incident, police said. No one was injured, police said.

Ammino was charged with third-degree robbery and third-degree menacing. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday, Aug. 23 at First District Court, Hempstead.
