Man Who KO'd Man At Farmingdale Pub Charged W/ Assault: Police
A man was found unconscious on the ground at a bar Saturday night, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A North Massapequa man was arrested and charged with assault in connection to an incident at a Farmingdale pub Saturday night, Nassau police said.
Officers responded to Croxley's Ale House at 190 Main St. for a report of an unconscious man, police said. When the officers arrived at 6:15 p.m., they found a semi-conscious 27-year-old man on the floor, police said. The man was brought to a local hospital with head trauma, and his condition is unknown, police said.
Police investigated and said Nicholas Checchia, 21, hit the 27-year-old in the head multiple times with an unknown object. Checchia was arrested at his home without incident at 10:30 p.m., police said.

Checchia was charged with second-degree assault and was scheduled for arraignment Sunday at First District Court, Hempstead.
