FARMINGDALE, NY — Several springtime events are coming to Farmingdale Village, the municipality announced in a news release.

Saturday's Easter Egg Hunt On the Village Green is canceled because of the weekend weather forecast, according to the village.

Meet the Easter Bunny is set to be held inside Village Hall at 11 a.m. Saturday. Kids can take photos with the Easter Bunny, and eggs will given out.

The Open Mic & Jam Session has a new date. It is due to be held Tuesday, April 15 after being re-scheduled from April 1. All ages are welcome to participate. Interested parties can email openmicfarmingdale@gmail.com or sign-up at 7 p.m. and on at the event.

The Colored Colors Art Crawl along Main Street in downtown Farmingdale is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. May 4. More dates are due to be added.

The Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, along Main Street. A ceremony on the Village Green will follow.

The Farmers Market on Sundays are slated to run from June 1 through Nov. 23. Each market is scheduled to run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting, on the Village Green. They are presented by Schneider's Farm.

The Canton of Lion's End is set to host its Farmingdale Medieval History Day event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 on the Village Green. Experience the Middle Ages: fighting, dancing, arts and crafts.

The Music on Main dates have been selected: July 10, July 24, Aug. 7 and Aug. 21. Enjoy live music on a closed-to-traffic Main Street while dining al fresco.

The Farmingdale Public Library has many ongoing in-person and virtual community events and activities. People may visit the website for details.
