Police Looking For Driver Who Hit Officer, 2 Pedestrians

Police say the driver hit a parked car into a pedestrian, then hit an officer and another pedestrian as they fled. Do you know who they are?

The Nassau County Police Department is seeking the public's help to find the driver of the car pictured above, who fled a crash scene and injured two people in Farmingdale early Saturday morning.

According to police, the driver of the white minivan pictured above struck a parked car on Conklin Street in Farmingdale at 2:45 a.m. The car the minivan crashed into shifted and hit a pedestrian, injuring them. The minivan fled from the collision, striking a police officer and another pedestrian as they did.

The car fled north on Conklin Street. The police officer and the two pedestrians were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Police are asking anyone who has any information about this crime, or who may know the driver of the van, to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
