No. 83: Golf at Bethpage State Park
It's the next activity on our list of 100 things to do in Farmingdale.
s 18-hole regulation golf course is famous for being home to the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Open, as the site of the challenging black course.
The blue, green and yellow courses are known to be the easiest and the best for beginners to play. The red, specifically the black course, are more challenging.
The clubhouse and golf pro shop are now open at 4:30 a.m., one half hour before the first tee off time each day. Clubs can be rented at the shop for $40. Electric cart and gas golf carts range in cost from $26-34 to rent. Pull carts can also be rented for $10.

Depending on the course you chose to play, your specified tee off time and the day of the week, the cost to play varies in price from $23-$75.
To make a reservation call 516-249-0707. If you don't have a reservation, call general information at 516-249-0700 ahead of time to assure that your desired tee off time is available.
