Oyster Bay Town Board to Consider Selection For Town Supervisor at Special Meeting

The meeting will be held next week.

The Oyster Bay Town Board announced that a special meeting will be held next week to "consider the selection" for the new Town Supervisor.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 31 starting at 9 a.m. at Oyster Bay Town Hall on 54 Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay.

The meeting was called by Deputy Supervisor Joseph D. Muscarella.

The seat for supervisor was most recently held by John Venditto who resigned earlier this month after he was indicted on federal corruption charges along with Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano in October.

Recently, Assemblyman Joseph Saladino announced his plans to run for Supervisor.

In addition, Independent candidate Robert Ripp, a Massapequa resident and retired NYPD officer, plans on running for supervisor as well as former Oyster Bay Constable Chris Briggs, who accused restaurateur Harendra Singh of securing illegal loan guarantees from town officials.
