Panera Bread to Bring Back Pink Ribbon Bagel For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Get your bagels at the Farmingdale Panera throughout the month of October.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Panera Bread recently announced that it will be bringing back its Pink Ribbon Bagel for the entire month of October.
"We are pleased to announce the return of the Pink Ribbon Bagel campaign at Panera Bread,” Greg George, vice president of operations for Doherty Enterprises, Inc., the Panera Bread franchisee for Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island said. “Charitable giving is at the core of Panera Bread and we encourage our guests to support the fight against breast cancer in October.”
For the 15th year in a row, the specialty food item will be available at several Long Island stores, including the Farmingdale location on 919 NY-110.

Other locations on Long Island include: Bellmore, Bohemia, Bridgehampton, Carle Place, East Meadow, East Northport, Bay Shore, Garden City, Glen Cove, Hauppauge, Hampton Bays, Hicksville, Huntington Station, Huntington Village, Island Park, Lake Grove, Lake Ronkonkoma, Lawrence, Little Neck, Massapequa, Mineola, New Hyde Park, North Babylon, Patchogue, Plainview, Port Jefferson, Riverhead, Rockville Centre, Syosset, Valley Stream and West Babylon.
During the month-long campaign, Panera will donate part of the proceeds from its Pink Ribbon Bagel to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

In addition, on Friday, October 7, the company will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of its bagels to the cause.
The Pink Ribbon Bagel is a cherry-vanilla bagel featuring cherry chips, dried cherries and cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar.
If you just can't wait to get your pink bagel, Panera will allow customers to pre-order bagels.
"The funds raised by Panera Bread and its customers will help us find new and better treatments for women and men, who are fighting breast cancer with tremendous courage and grace," Elizabeth Comen, MD, a medical oncologist within the Breast Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering, said. "We look forward to repaying the kindness from customers with real progress against this disease."
