PDQ Chicken Joint Coming To Farmingdale In July

The award-winning chicken restaurant is slated to open its first New York location on July 21 in Farmingdale.

FARMINGDALE, NY—PDQ, an award-winning chicken franchise based in Tampa Bay, FL, is slated to open its first New York location in Farmingdale on July 21.

PDQ, which stands for People Dedicated to Quality, rose to prominence in the southeast portion of the United States since its founding in 2011. Its Long Island location will be at 1004 Broadhollow Road, Farmingdale.

The PDQ menu features hand-breaded chicken tenders and nuggets with dipping sauces such as ranch, creamy garlic, sweet sriracha and chipotle bbq among others. Six chicken sandwiches are listed, including honey butter, buffalo bleu, crispy chicken, grilled chicken, cali club and pimento crunch. Salads, bowls and hand-spun milkshakes round out the offerings.

The franchise is owned by Outback Steakhouse co-founder Bob Basham and MVP Holdings CEO Nick Reader. The Farmingdale location will be operated by Ryan Basham, the son of Bob Basham.
