Public Comment Period End Date For Navy-Grumman Plume Changed

BETHPAGE, NY—Near the end of May, NYSDEC announced the release of the Proposed Amended Record of Decision (AROD) to address the toxic groundwater plume originating from the U.S. Navy and Northrop Grumman Bethpage Facility site located in Bethpage.

The AROD was released for public review and started a 45-day comment period from May 23, 2019 to July 7, 2019. But with July 7 being a Sunday, the NYSDEC will be accepting comments through the end of business hours on July 8, it announced.
