Reports: Man Beheads Mother, Kills Himself by Jumping in Front of Train in Farmingdale
Farmingdale police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide which occurred Tuesday night.

Nassau County Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide in Farmingdale where a woman was beheaded and left dead in the street Tuesday night, according to multiple reports.
The man suspected of killing her was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train around 8:15 p.m., near where the woman was found in front of 130 Secatogue Avenue, Eyewitness News reported.

The woman, whose severed head was reportedly discovered in the street with her body nearby, was in her 60s. The man hit by the train is believed to be the woman’s son, and was in his 30s, NBC 4 New York reported.
Nassau police have so far released few details on the two deaths, but reports indicate the woman may have been killed inside a Secatogue Avenue apartment building.

“There was blood all over the floor,” witness Nick Gordon said, according to the New York Post. “You can see smears going down the stairs… as if somebody were pulling a body.”
LIRR service on the Ronkonkoma Branch had been suspended in both directions but has since been restored.
