The Republic Pub Says 'Irish Goodbye,' Closes Farmingdale Eatery, Bar

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Republic Pub, an Irish bar and restaurant, announced its sudden closure on Monday.
"With a heavy heart, we are saying our Irish Goodbye and closing our doors as of [Monday],"
the pub wrote on Instagram. "We have loved serving the Farmingdale community for the past 13 years, and hoped you enjoyed us just as much. Thank you for everything."
The pub was at 217 Main St., Farmingdale. It served burgers, chicken sandwiches, mac and cheese and other Irish fare. Along one side of the building was a bar with several beer taps.
