Road Closures Announced For Wake Of FDNY Firefighter William Tolley

In addition to road closures, there will be no parking in certain areas in Bethpage on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nassau Police announced that there will be several road closures and no parking in Bethpage area for during the wake for FDNY firefighter William Tolley.

On Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. there will be no parking on Hicksville Road from Hempstead Turnpike to Boundary Avenue.

Also, on both days 17 Stewart Avenue from Hempstead Turnpike to Boundary Avenue will be closed to traffic from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Public should be advised the detail may cause traffic delays and detours during this time.

Tolley, a Bethpage resident and a volunteer with the Bethpage Fire Department, died after falling from the roof of a five-story burning building in Queens on Thursday.
