Ruby Tuesday to Close Down 'Underperforming' Restaurants
There is no word if any of the seven Long Island restaurants will be closed.
Ruby Tuesday recently announced that they will be closing a total of 95 restaurants across the country within the next month.
The company has not yet announced which restaurants will be closing, including the seven restaurants located on Long Island.
In Farmingdale, there is a Ruby Tuesday on 2120 Route 110.

In addition, other Long Island locations include Deer Park, Medford, Commack, Westbury, Selden and Sayville.
The announcement was made along with the release of the company's fourth quarter and 2016 fiscal year financial results. According to the report, as of May 31 the company had a total of 724 restaurants, including 646 that were company-operated.

The company will be closing 95 "underperforming" restaurants.
"The decision to close restaurants is a difficult but necessary step as we take aggressive actions to strengthen our organization. Performance at each of these locations, despite the loyalty of valued guests and the efforts of our dedicated employees, was not meeting expectations," JJ Buettgen, Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO said in a press release. "Full-time and part-time employees impacted by closures will be offered positions in nearby restaurants where possible.”
