Scoops And Cones Cafe Opens In Farmingdale, Bringing Ice Cream, Crepes, Soups , More

"I'm here to serve you guys the best ice cream, the best soups and the best grilled cheeses," says owner Thomas Cacciopoli.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Scoops and Cones Cafe opened in Farmingdale on Monday. The sweet shop brings plenty of ice cream flavors, as well as crepes, grilled cheeses, soups, and more to 95 Fulton Street.

The "greatness" of the ice cream is what sets Scoops and Cones Cafe apart from other ice cream shops, said Thomas Cacciopoli, the owner.

"It’s got a ton of butter fat in it, great quality; mom and pop shop, and the owner actually cares about the place and the people who come into the place," Cacciopoli told Patch.

Scoops And Cones Cafe offers dozens of flavors of ice cream served various ways. Try the frozen delight in a cup or cone, infused with cereal, on French toast, over iced coffee, in a brownie bowl, or on a "waffle bowl" or "waffle yacht." The "waffle yacht" is two scoops of ice cream, four waffle sticks and three toppings for $9.50.

Toppings at the cafe include traditional items, cereal, and sauces.

Scoops and Cones opened its first location in Wantagh in 2021.

Cacciopoli said Farmingdale's great people, up-and-coming neighborhood, and heavy traffic made it the ideal spot for his second store.

Scoops and Cones Cafe also serves crepes, grilled cheese sandwiches, soups, chips, and more. Crepes come in Nutella, banana, strawberries, caramel, peanut butter sauce, or other options, according to Cacciopoli.

Crepes were served in Wantagh, but grilled cheeses and soups are making their Scoops and Cones Cafe debut in Farmingdale. Cacciopoli said offering lunch is very important for an ice cream shop during Long Island's cold winters.

"It keeps the business going in the winter," he said.

Scoops and Cones Cafe, in the same parking lot as Palmer's American Grille, Subway and Domino's Pizza, is open noon to 9 p.m. weekdays and noon to 10 p.m. weekends.

The business's grand opening is scheduled for March 4, but the soft opening is underway.
