SOUTH FARMINGDALE, NY — An 81-year-old South Farmingdale man considered vulnerable who had been missing since Thursday morning was found OK, Nassau police said Friday night.

Athanasios Athanasiou was reported missing to police at 11 p.m. Thursday.

Athanasiou was last seen leaving his residence. He was described by police as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 210 pounds with green eyes and white hair. His clothing description and destination are unknown, police said.

Athanasiou was last seen driving a gold 2000 Honda CRV with a NY Registration of FJE2976.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding Athanasiou to contact the Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
