Summer Festival, Mariano On The Piano, More: Farmingdale Events

FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale has several events coming up summer through fall, including the first annual Croxley's Golf Outing and Sponsorship, local teen Marino Schwartz playing the piano for a good cause, a summer festival, Music on Main and more.
What: Open Mic Night
When: 7 p.m. Friday, June 16
Where: The Gazebo on the Village Green
More: All ages are welcome to register in advance by emailing openmicfarmingdale@gmail.com, or can sign-up at 7 p.m. at the event. Free to attend/participate - bring lawn chairs, blankets for outdoor seating; limited seating inside Village Hall.
What: Farmers Markets by Schneider's Farm
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays from June 4 through Nov. 19
Where: Village Green, at 361 Main Street
More: Shop the fresh selection of produce, vegetables and other items. Stroll Main Street and shop and dine downtown throughout Farmingdale Village, supporting local merchants.

What: Mariano on the Piano
When: 7 to 9 p.m. June 24
Where: 317 Main Street
More: Mariano Schwartz of Farmingdale, a sophomore at St. Anthony’s High School, raised $10,000 to donate to Bronx Veterans Medical Research Re-Walk program. This cutting edge program designs exoskeleton walking suits that literally enable disabled veterans to proudly stand up and walk again.
After months of playing piano and raising money for Bronx Veterans Medical Research, Schwartz will present BVMR a donation of $10,000. A spectacular night is planned with Mariano on the Piano, special guests, veterans, and award winning Chef Eric LeVine

"The Farmingdale Village Board of Trustees and myself commend Mariano for the wonderful philanthropic efforts, dedication and generosity," Mayor Ralph Ekstrand wrote.
