Teen, 15, Shot Friend With BB Gun 3 Times in Farmingdale: Police
A 19-year-old suffered a serious eye injury after being shot with the BB gun, police say. The 15-year-old was arrested, police say.
FARMINGDALE, NY — A 15-year-old boy was arrested after he shot his friend three times with a BB gun in Farmingdale on Saturday, Nassau police said.
A 19-year-old went to his friend's home at 12:05 a.m. to discuss an issue they had earlier in the night, detectives said. The man arrived, and the teenager approached him as he got out of his vehicle, police said.
The teen was approximately five feet from the victim when he displayed a black BB handgun and shot him three times, police said. The 19-year-old was struck in the left leg, left side of his face and below his left eye, police said.

He suffered a serious injury to his left eye and his parents brought him to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
Police arrested the 15-year-old and charged him with first-degree assault. Police do not release the names of minors charged with crimes. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at First District Court Youth Part.
