Every morning, the traffic on Merritt Avenue heading north as you approach Hempstead Turnpike, the lane that goes straight is backed up for blocks because the left lane is a "left turn only" lane and the green light for going straight is very short. They should make both lanes be able to go straight or lengthen the time of the green light for going straight. It sometimes takes me 3-4 lights to get across that intersection.
