Truck Erupts In Flames, Spreads To Bethpage FedEx Building
The repair truck was destroyed, though the warehouse's steel doors helped prevent the fire from spreading into the building.

BETHPAGE, NY — Fire spread to the FedEx Ground building in Bethpage on Wednesday after a repair truck next to the warehouse went up in flames, according to the Bethpage Fire Department.
Firefighters received a call for a truck fire at the FedEx building, at 160 Grumman Road West, at 7:41 a.m. Smoke could be seen in the distance as firefighters responded, and callers told the fire department the fire got into the warehouse. Firefighters found a flame-engulfed repair truck up against the building's garage doors with multiple explosions coming from it.
The fire was extinguished, and the steel doors stopped the fire from extending into the building. However, the warehouse was filled with smoke, and there was some damage to the building. The repair truck and everything inside was destroyed.
