Baking runs in the Veneroni family.

Veneroni's brother taught him "pretty much everything" he knows about creating desserts, and his pastries have since become favorites of his nine nephews and two nieces.

"My two nieces used to always tell me, ‘Uncle Joey, your cookies are the best.’ That’s basically where it came from: my two nieces," Veneroni explained.

Uncle Joey's Rainbow Explosion also has Side Hustle Artisanal Bread Company, a bread company owned by Jim Serpico, make bread drop-offs at the store.
