WCF MATCHES CULTURAL ARTS AWARDS TO FHS STUDENTS
The Women's Club of Farmingdale Hosts Cultural Arts Day Competition
Barbara Hoerner, Island Metro District Director, hosted Island Metro Cultural Arts Day at La Viletta Restaurant in Farmingdale. Farmingdale High School students and clubwomen submitted their creative art and crafts for the competition. First-Place student winners received a monetary award which was matched by the Women's Club of Farmingdale. Student winners included: Painting: 1st Place, Maria Anaia Pen & Ink, Kimberly Chabza, Printmaking, Ariela Deleon, Oil, Glorieanne Quiban, Charcoal and 2nd Place Urooba Abid, Mixed Media/Watercolor; Crafts: 1st Place, Luisa Naranjo, Coil Pottery, Anya White, Mask and 3rd Place, Samantha Kramer, Digital Photography. WCF winners: 1st Place, Judy Masino, Knitting, Joanne Krapp, Watercolor and 2nd Place, Fran Rotondo, Oil
