With the possibility of being gifted a parcel of land, Heather is anticipating opening another school in Uganda. Her expertise in combining nutrition and fitness in her school curriculum has been sought after by several organizations that are also looking to make an impact in Uganda.

As her “last hurrah,” outgoing WCF President Tina Diamond held a celebratory “English Tea” with viewing of the Royal Wedding on a large screen TV at the Ellsworth Allen Park Community Room. A large contingent of WCF ladies came dressed with formal wedding hats, fascinators and their teacups. The 65” screen TV was provided by the Town of Oyster Bay just in time for the wedding. TOB Supervisor Joe Saladino joined in and attended the tea with his top hat. A truly grand ending to Diamond’s two-year term as President of the WCF.

Members of the WCF also proudly marched in the Village Memorial Day Parade honoring our veterans who sacrificed so much for our freedom. The parade concluded at the Village Green where a memorial for fallen soldiers is housed.
Additionally, the Junior League of the Women’s Club of Farmingdale also installed new officers. Former President of the Junior League, GFWC-NYS Director and member of The Women’s Club of Farmingdale, Barbara Hoerner, performed the Installation ceremony for the 2018-2010 Executive Board which includes: President Barbara Esposito; 1st Vice President Diana Kleeman; 2nd Vice President Anita Lalor; Recording Secretary Barbara Hotchkin; Corresponding Secretary Debra Brostelman; Treasurer Mary Salzano and Historians Betty Looney and Debbie DiTaranto. For more than ten years, the Junior League has prepared and served a Mother’s Day brunch to families whose children are receiving cancer treatment at Ronald MacDonald House in Mineola. And once again this June, the ladies will volunteer to organize a park picnic complete with games for the children in shelter homes located at Madonna Heights, Dix Hills.
