Man Arrested In Connection With Farmingdale Shooting: Police
The man shot a 23-year-old woman in her shoulder Tuesday night on Poplar Avenue, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — An Amityville man was arrested in connection with the shooting of a 23-year-old woman in Farmingdale Tuesday night, Nassau police said. Avery Palmer, 20, faces a host of charges, authorities announced Friday morning.
The woman was shot in her right shoulder shortly before 8:25 p.m. Tuesday on Poplar Avenue, police said. The woman, who was not identified, was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said, adding her injuries were not life-threatening.
Palmer was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property (firearm), second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, and aggravated criminal possession of a weapon. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
