WCF Welcomes Two More New Members and Hosts Lemon Auction
A warm welcome to Nancy Carman and Maryann Seales, the two newest members of the WCF. Nancy is a member of St. Luke's Cut-Ups making quilts for Lutheran World Relief and is past PTA President at UC Palsy in Nassau where she currently volunteers. She enjoys sewing, baking and gardening. Maryann has worked at Farmingdale High school and has been a Girl Scout leader for 13 years. She was responsible for bringing the Girl Scouts Program to the Northside School. She enjoys boating and playing Mah Jongg.
At their March meeting, the WCF hosted a very successful Lemon Auction under the direction of Chairman Loda Romanelli, Edie Allen, Katie McKeveny and volunteer auctioneer, Bea Ferrari. Members brought their "lemons" and went home with new-found "treasures." Proceeds support student scholarships and community improvement.
