Women’s Club of Farmingdale Presents Creative Writing

Certificates to FSD Students

On April 10, 2025, at the Howitt Middle School, Women’s Club of Farmingdale (WCF) member, Dolores Cianciabella, presented 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Creative Writing Certificates on behalf of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, to seven Farmingdale School District students K-12. Dolores has been Chair of this committee for 15 years and this year she was delighted to have seven winners.

Before Superintendent Paul Defindini called Dolores up to the stage, he informed the audience that she is a much beloved, retired FSD Kindergarten teacher. In fact, present were former K students who are now members of the Board of Education or current teachers in the district, including Superintendent Defindini. The audience was delighted!

At 94 years young, Dolores continues to champion for all students and encourage each one to perform at their very best. Dolores called each of the 7 students up to the stage to receive their Certificates. Supporting Dolores were WCF members of this committee Anna Ievolo, Cathy Sewell and Tina Diamond. Congratulations to all the Winners!
