Suffolk To Treat Davis Park On Fire Island For Mosquitoes On Thursday: Officials

The method of treatment will include ground spraying with the ultra-low volume aerosol pesticide, Anvil, or sumithrin.

DAVIS PARK, NY — The Suffolk County Department of Public Works is planning to treat sections of Davis Park on Fire Island, as part of its ongoing annual efforts to control adult mosquitoes, officials said.

The application will run Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on all streets and boardwalks in the community. The method of treatment will include ground spraying with the ultra-low volume aerosol pesticide, Anvil, or sumithrin.
