• Fleeing suspect crosses bridge and causes major wreck on I-84 (midhudsonnews.com) — A high-speed pursuit that began in Newburgh ended with a serious head-on crash on I-84 in the Town of Fishkill, just east of Route 9D. Police say the fleeing driver tried a U-turn through the median, hit a pickup, then ran before being found hiding along the highway after a multi-agency search.
   

• Man charged with DWI after wrong-way crash on I-84 in East Fishkill (newportdispatch.com) — A wrong-way DWI crash on I-84 in East Fishkill left another driver with non-life-threatening injuries and led to multiple misdemeanor charges for a Long Island man. State Police say he fled the scene, was later arrested at SP East Fishkill, and is due in Town of Fishkill Court in late October.
