13-Year-Old Missing In Lawrence, Police Say

LAWRENCE, NY — The search is on for a missing girl Tuesday after she was last seen at 8:45 a.m. Monday, police said.

Nassau County police said 13-year-old Mireya Navarrete-Pichardo was last seen walking from her home Monday and reported missing at 10:10 a.m. that same day. Police described the girl as Hispanic, standing 5-feet, 4-inches, weighing about 120 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair and a lip piercing. Police said Navarrete-Pichardo was wearing dark jeans, a black jacket and white and black sneakers when she was last seen, and that she was carrying a black school bag.
