2 Men Tried To Steal Items From Vehicle In Cedarhurst: Police
One man had an active warrant with the Norfolk Police Department, while the other had other stolen items on him, police say.
CEDARHURST, NY — Two Bronx men were arrested early Tuesday when they were caught trying to steal items from a vehicle, Nassau police said.
Officers were called to the intersection of Rugby and Arlington roads at 3 a.m. for a theft in progress, police said. Officers watched video surveillance with the 22-year-old man who owned the vehicle the two men were taking items from, police said.
Officers found and arrested Taveon Hargrove, 21, and Taimar Tyrell Antonio, 26, who live in the same apartment, police said.

Hargrove was found to have an active warrant from the Norfolk Police Department requesting extradition, while Antonio was found to be in possession of stolen property from previous thefts, police said.
Hargrove was charged with petty larceny and will be extradited to Norfolk, Virginia, for a juvenile warrant once he's arraigned. Antonio was charged with petty larceny and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Both will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
