2 Organizations Seek To Oversee 5 Towns Community Center: Report
The county chose not to renew the lease at the longtime Lawrence location.

LAWRENCE, NY — Two organizations are vying to take over the Five Towns Community Center after the county said its lease would not be renewed.
The Marion & Aaron Gural JCC and the Lawrence Union Free School each submitted bids, according to Newsday.
County Executive Bruce Blakeman said he would appoint a committee to recommend the best option. Blakeman previously chose against renewing the 50-year lease at the 51,000-square-foot Lawrence location.
