2 Shot In Elmont Sunday: Police
Police are looking for whoever shot 2 people in Elmont Sunday, authorities say.
ELMONT, NY — Two people were shot during an assault Sunday in Elmont, police said.
According to Nassau County Police, the incident took place at 11:30 p.m. on Joan Court. Police responded to a 911 call and found a woman, 31, with gunshot wounds to both of her legs, authorities said. She was taken to an area hospital by a NCPD ambulance and is in stable condition, police said.
A man, 25, was also shot in the leg; he was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle and is also in stable condition, police said.

The investigation to find the shooter is ongoing, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
