2 Women Stole Cash From Woman They Worked For As Aide: Nassau PD

Police say the women used the victim's debit card and cashed forged checks in her name.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Two Lakeview women were arrested after Nassau County police say they used the stolen identity of an elderly woman one of them worked for as a health aide to make purchases.

According to police, at 9:32 a.m. on Aug. 17, Kiondra Bullocks-Bassoo, 33, of Woodfield Road, deposited two forged checks from the 76-year-old woman who she worked for as a home health aide.

On Aug. 5, police say Stephanie Fletcher, 36, of the same address on Woodfield Road, used the elderly woman's debit card to make purchases at Target in Valley Stream.

Fletcher was arrested on Nov. 3, and Bullocks-Bassoo was arrested on Nov. 20.

Fletccher is charged with attempted grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree identity theft and petty larceny. She was arraigned on Nov. 4. Bullocks-Bassoo was charged with attempted grand larceny, first- and second-degree identity theft, two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and third-degree unlawful possession of personal identification. She was arraigned on Nov. 21.
