27-Year-Old Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash In Nassau
Police say the motorcyclist hit an SUV that was making a left turn, throwing him from his bike. An 82-year-old woman was also injured.

A 27-year-old man died after getting into a crash on his motorcycle in Valley Stream Thursday night.
According to police, the man was driving his 2006 Harley Davidson south on Rockaway Avenue at 7:18 p.m. when he collided with the passenger side of a 2012 Honda SUV being driven by a 55-year-old man. Police say the SUV was making a left turn on Dubois Avenue. The motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle and landed on the road, suffering critical injuries.
He was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital and died at 10:20 p.m. His identification is being withheld until his family can be notified. The passenger in the SUV, an 82-year-old woman, was also taken to a hospital for treatment of a head injury. She is in stable condition. The SUV driver was not injured.

Both the motorcycle and the SUV were impounded for brake and safety checks. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
