3 Charged In Nassau Home Burglary: Police

The trio tried to steal $600 worth of items from the home but were caught when the homeowner saw them in his house, police say.

INWOOD, NY — Three were arrested in connection with a home burglary in Inwood on Sunday, Nassau police said.

A 53-year-old homeowner saw a black Nissan pick-up truck parked on his driveway around 10:45 p.m., police said. He saw three people he did not know in his house and called the officers, police said.

Officers arrested Heimlall Seelall, 61; and Bhanmatti Seelall, 50, both of Jamaica; and Janki Ramlal, 56, of Flushing, at 11:30 p.m., police said.

Roughly $600 of proceeds were recovered from the truck and removed from Heimlall Seelall, police said.

Seelall, Seelall and Ramlal were each charged with second-degree burglary and were scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
