$50K Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Nassau As Jackpot Soars To $430 Million Tonight

A ticket sold in Nassau hit for $50,000 over the weekend, but with no jackpot winners, the jackpot is up to $430 million Wednesday.

Powerball fever is spiking again with a $430 million jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing, making it the 11th largest prize in the game's history. The cash payout for Wednesday's drawing will be an estimated $273.4 million.

Tickets for Wednesday's drawing will be sold until 9:59 p.m.

One $50,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold at the De Centro American Deli at 53 Meacham Street in Elmont for this past Saturday's drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

A total of 173,106 “winning” tickets were sold in New York for Saturday's drawing. One person in Mount Vernon won a $1 million prize. A total of three people won a $50,000 prize while 361 people won $100. The rest of the “winning” tickets were between $4 and $7. The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday were: 20, 24, 26, 35, 49 and Powerball 19.

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time. The record in the game was a $1.6 billion drawing in January 2016, which was won by a group of Tennessee workers. And five months ago, on Feb. 22, a lucky player in Indiana won the $435 million Powerball jackpot, the 10th largest in the game's history.
