6 Teens Rob Valley Stream Gas Station

Gas station attendant injured during robbery Monday night, police say.

A Valley Stream gas station attendant who fought back against teen robbers Monday night suffered minor injuries, police said.

According to police, six teens–five males and one female–were at the entrance of the Citgo station, located at 760 W. Merrick Road, at 8:10 p.m. when the attendant allowed two of the male teens into the store.

Once inside, one of the teens demanded money from the attendant and began going through the employee’s pockets, police said.

A fight ensued and during the altercation, the second teen opened the door allowing the other teens into the store, police said.

The teens removed assorted items from the store before fleeing on foot westbound on Merrick Road. The attendant, who was working alone, was treated for minor injuries.
