#95 - Take Your Kids to Dance Express
A fun way to get your kids out of the house and on their feet.
Dance lessons are a great way to get your kids off the couch and into a fun physical activity.
Dance Express has so many classes running at different times throughout the week, it won’t be hard to find one that fits into parents’ and kids’ busy schedules. Each one caters to specific skill levels, beginners through advanced, and age groups, from babies to teens.
They offer the traditional — tap, ballet, jazz and ballroom — as well as the contemporary — pop and lock, street jazz, breaking and hip hop. Even your little ones can get in on the action, with music and movement sessions for infants, toddlers and preschool kids.

Your kids will be in good hands with studio owner Jaime Wysocki, and nearly two dozen instructors, who only teach forms of dance at which they excel. The school, conveniently located in the heart of Woodmere’s business district (12 Franklin Pl.), has a warm atmosphere that will make kids feel at home.
Their dance company, comprised of students who are selected by the staff, perform at parades, fairs and other local events. This year, the company is being featured at two New York Knicks basketball games.

For intensive training, private lessons are available. And for something special, Dance Express hosts birthday parties, which includes learning a dance routine. Preparing for end-of-season recitals is a focal point of most classes, and lets kids show off what they’ve learned in front of a live audience.
And Dance Express isn’t just kids stuff. They offer plenty of adult classes as well.
