Altice USA’s Meet the Leaders Gives High School Students Unique Presidential Debate Experience through C-SPAN Partnership
Meet the Leaders is one of Altice USA's signature public affairs programs
At the first Presidential Debates on September 26, one of Altice USA’s signature public affairs programs and an interview-style show that connects viewers to local leaders through insightful discussion, “Meet the Leaders" partnered with C-SPAN to bring a Lawrence High School teacher and three of his former students to "report" behind the scenes at the presidential debate. The students watched the debate from the media spin room, getting to see Trump interviewed after the debate, and interviewed several officials including Congressman Peter King (R-NY), Congressman Steve Israel (D-NY), Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano (R), and Reverend Jesse Jackson. Students shared their experience on social media, and one student was interviewed live on C-SPAN prior to the debate start.
To mark the occasion, Meet the Leaders now has a new look and has been rebranded as Altice. To find out more or watch student-produced videos and behind the scenes coverage of the Presidential Debate, visit the new Meet the Leaders Web site at: http://www.meettheleaders.com/
