Men Accused Of $175K Return Scam At Valley Stream BJ’s Face Grand Larceny Charge, Police Say

Police say a pair of men are facing a grand larceny charge after making $175,000 in fraudulent returns to a Valley Stream big box store.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A pair of men were arrested Tuesday and charged with grand larceny after they made $175,000 in fraudulent returns at the Valley Stream BJ’s while employed there, police said.

Nassau County police said 19-year-old Rosedale resident Ranaldo Davis and 31-year-old Westbury resident Marquies Johnson were arrested Tuesday in connection with a string of false returns made between Jan. 13 and Apr. 12.

Police did not say what items the men returned, but said that the men were scheduled for arraignment Wednesday. In addition to second-degree grand larceny charges, both men are facing a charge of falsifying business records, police said.
