Queens Woman Arrested After Leaving Kids, 8 and 3, Unattended In Car, PD Says

A Queens woman was arraigned Saturday after she left her kids unattended in a Walmart parking lot, police said

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Flushing, Queens woman was arrested Friday night after she was reported for leaving her kids, ages 8 and 3, unattended in the car at the Green Acres Road Walmart, police said.

Nassau County police said 31-year-old Karlesca Quintero-Solorzano was arrested without incident Friday just before 9 p.m. after someone reported her kids being left unattended in the car while she went inside to shop. According to police, the car was in the Walmart parking lot when Quintero-Solorzano went inside, and the two children were released into the care of a family member unharmed.

In the aftermath of the incident, Quintero-Solorzano is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and pleaded not guilty, court documents show.
