Armored Truck Stolen In Early Morning Heist In Nassau

Police are searching for the person who stole the truck and then emptied it of cash.

Nassau police are searching for the person who stole an armored truck in a brazen early morning robbery on Friday in Valley Stream.

According to police, two armored truck employees were inside the HSBC Bank at 260 West Sunrise Highway at 2:30 a.m. when their truck, a 2007 Ford Econoline, which was parked out front, was taken by an unknown person.

The truck was found a short time later on South Central Avenue in Valley Stream. An undetermined amount of cash had been stolen from it.

Police are asking anyone with information about this heist to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous, and you could earn a reward if your information leads to an arrest.
